WELCOME TO BEAVERHACKS FALL 2023

Welcome OSU students, the OSU Hackathon club is hosting another hacakthon this quarter. In this hacakthon you may create any application that you want. Whether it's a mobile app, web app, browser extension, or even a Discord bot, the possibilities are endless!

THEME:

The theme is: Education. Aim to create a project that provides a solution to a problem in education. This can be a solution for educators or students; such as an creating and organization tool for easy lesson planning or a note taking tool. These are just examples though, we encourage you to be creative and create a project that you are passionate about!

Requirements

SIGN UP REQUIREMENTS

  • Join the hackathon on this Devpost page.

  • The deadline for signing up for this hackathon is October 19, 2023 at 11:59 PM PST. The Google Form will close at this time.

After you click join the hackathon, please complete the to-dos on the right side of the page.

PROJECT REQUIREMENTS

  • You are in a team of up to 4 people or working solo.

  • You and your teammates are OSU students.

  • All code and/or other materials must have been written or produced within the time frame of the hacking period.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • Project submissions must be made through DevPost. A guide on how to do this can be found HERE.

  • Link to a video demonstration of the project (screen recording + audio) with a max-duration of 5 minutes. We recommend uploading your video to YouTube (make sure the privacy setting is public or unlisted).

    • Feel free to use this template as a starting point for your video presentation. It's not required and no extra points will be given. We have found, however, that presentations with a solid structure do a better job communicating the project to the judges so please keep that in mind in coming up with your format.

  • Link to GitHub repository - the entire commit history must be present

  • Link to repl on Repl.it (only if submitting a console app)

Please contact any officers on the Discord channel or email oregonstatehackathonclub@gmail.com, if you have any questions.
